A Health Test identifies if there are potential small drips in the plumbing system. At a time when none of the water fixtures are using water, the Flo Device shuts off the water to the home and monitors the pressure in the plumbing system over a period of time. If the pressure stays constant during the duration of the test, this is a good indicator that there are no leaks in the plumbing system. If the pressure decays (or lessens) during the duration of the test, this may mean that there are leaks or other vulnerabilities in the plumbing system.
Health Tests are automatically run by the Flo System at least once per day. The tests are typically run a time of inactivity when water fixtures are not being used. The inhabitants of the home don’t need to do anything during a test. If someone tries to open a fixture during a test, the test is automatically aborted so no interruption in water usage will be experienced. The Health Test will automatically run again at a later time.
A user may also manually run a Health Test if they want to test for leaks or vulnerabilities in the plumbing system. Health Tests can be run from the Control Panel.
